50% mohair from one year old doe Navikara, and 50% lambswool core for strength (dyed the same colors and locks spun over). 38 yards, 2.7 oz, worsted weight size 4 (9 wraps per inch). I initially just lockspun the pure mohair. I found that it was absolutely wonderful, but wasn't as strong as I would like for a long lasting purpose. I dyed some lambswool a gradient of the same colors, at the same intensity, and then lockspun the mohair locks over it, using the lambswool as a "core". This proved just as time consuming as the pure lock spinning, but produced a very strong yarn, without hardly any of the lambswool being exposed, so it is *almost* just as soft as the pure mohair, with some added density and "shape memory". This yarn is probably more "ideal" than the pure mohair, but... I have a soft spot in my heart for the 100% mohair.
