Our family's "go to" for the past decade, whether a scratch, dry cracked skin, scrape, eczema, rash, insect sting, minor cut, or general itch. The kids call it "green medicine" and it is pretty amazing stuff. This salve is made from comfrey root and leaves, calendula flowers, olive oil, bees wax, and lavender. I concentrate the comfrey and calendula into the olive oil (which takes some days on very low heat) and then process the reminder into a salve. It has out-performed prescription cortizone or other OTC ointments on multiple occasions.
